1997 was a pivotal year in my life — the year I came to the United States, leaving behind a culture where girls and women faced discrimination and a rigid glass ceiling. Watching my mother endure hardship and inequality fueled my determination to seek something different. Inspired by the promise of opportunity I believed America held, I set out to carve a new path.
Arriving in the U.S. in 1997 marked the beginning of a profound transformation. It was a time of healing, growth, and a deep commitment to building a future rooted in possibility.
Years later, when the idea to create biodegradable products took shape, the name Ninety7 came to me instantly. It honors the year I stepped into empowerment, resilience, and hope.
